I have a wood pigeon wandering around the garden with what appears to be a broken wing......is there anything that can be done for it? Or should I just put it out of its misery? (Although not entirely sure how or even if i could).

Cheers

Catch it, wring its neck, take the breasts off, plenty of seasoning, rasher of bacon on top, hot grill 12 -15 mins while you make a creamy mushroom and garlic sauce.

Large glass of red.

Don't worry about the wing, you arn't missing much, there's not much meat on a wing anyway.

Joking aside, just kill it and put it out of its misery.

After being laughed at by the missus for not being able to do it i finally got it together. Went out armed with a towel to catch it.......after chasing it round the garden for ten minutes flung the towel on top only for it to take flight onto the neighbours roof!! Excellent.......its only just flew the nest and needed to be faced with death for it to get its wings working properly.......sausages for dinner then.
