Enjoying a KFC - (Bargin Bucket - can't be doing with all that new fangled 'chicken zinger' rubbish) - in the nice park in the middle of Haywards Heath (sussex) the other evening.

 

At first, I thought this cherry tree had interesting red leaf / green leaf ability.

 

On closer inspection, things are not looking so well...............

(mind you - from a distance you can see the crown is thinning rather)

 

Can't say I have noticed anything like it before....

 

Any ideas to the cause?

 

Is it common?

 

Is it becoming more widespread?

 

Should I have gone for popcorn chicken?
