Nice little felling job

Thought I would Share some pics of a job that we have been carrying out over the past couple of weeks. We had to fell about 34 poplars all with Clearwing Borer damage All the trees were on the roadside and having lost branches and then finally one tree into the road at rush hour the owners gave the go ahead. The pops were planted with Limes so at the moment the impact of them all coming down is quite big, but in a short time the limes are going to make the roadside look a whole lot nicer. We had a road closure and all the trees were felled into the road all the trunks and brushwood was dragged and chipped back into the wood.

1. Clearwing Borer damage at base.

2. Tree that fell at rush hour

3. Tree on Highway

The only trees we had to climb were two that are near to the building in the first picture. Only to put a pulling line into them as typically the only trees near to a building had a great back lean on them. Everything else was straight into the road:icon14:
