Champion Quercus sp ?

Found this cracking tree hidden away on an estate, hope you enjoy the pics:thumbup:

 

The leaf looks similar to a turkey but I am stumped to be honest so get your thinking caps on or am I just thick..

 

I know that they can cross with other oaks but they only came here in 1735 to Exeter so that would make it 275 yrs old? Is it not too big?

Think you are right looks like a Lucombe Oak to me. There are different types though!

There is HUGE one at Kew that was actually transplanted as a mature tree. Worth a look if you are ever near.
