Yes, saws dont like to be left in the sun. I did know the reason but cant remember now, something to do with fuel vaporising i think. We always try keep them in the shade when there not being used. Also undo the fuel caps to release any pressure before trying to start them.

Doesnt the fuel expand under constant heat? thats why fuel should always be left in shade incase it goes bang.Could be wrong. Done it today with the saw as Thought it was way to hot for anything to be outside in direct line....including poor old me

Also so it doesnt explode fumes and fuel in your face if you undo the fuel cap or fuel can! Can take a coating off your eyeballs which is a bit nasty.:thumbdown:

 

I think the fuel in the tank expands which can force fuel past the needle jet in the carb causing the engine to flood.
