Since when was it disolved? It is still not NPTC training, Loads of colleges train towards the NPTC assessments, but loads of the students fail because they have not been trained to the right standard? (FACT)

Totally agree... poor training therefore poor results....

Colleges are the worst offenders......

Churning out qualified and clueless individuals,,, its scary in a fairly high risk working environment that is charged with the care and preservation of such vital landscape and ecological features...:001_huh:

LOADS of colleges is not the same as ALL, and LOADS of colleges STILL internally assess their own candidates.

So if one college instructor trains 4 students and then gets another assecor who works for the college that is wrong?

or do you mean the trainer asseses his trainees?

The assessor is not suposed to be financialy tied? Some courses are ITA so those are a different matter. I know some colleges who have trained people and ALL the group have failed on the same items, with external assessors and I know some people with tickets, who cant climb and are a liabilty with a saw! They were assessed internaly!!! So what about NPTC providing this training??

Yeah I no it happends mate this is just an utterly confusing thread. I thought NPTC did the training to but to be honest Im not fussed its not an interesting subject its one full of confusion and 'bang your head against a wall' big co operation rubbish where they change the rules to suit themselves.

As long as I get good trianing and a fair assesment then I could'nt give a monkeys who ran the training or assesment
