quick update guys,off to nottingham at 6am to pick up my trailer.got 2 sore knees and full of man flu,gotta pay 250 quid to release it (reclaimable) but i'm absolutely bouncing!! taken a while but we got there :thumbup:

long story! mothers friend is an inspector with local force who's helped us greatly,he's told us to keep the recovery charge receipt and he'll claim it back for us as we didn't order the recovery :confused1: tax payers money i assume.apparently i can also raise a case against the guy who was in illegal possesion (who still contests ownership) for loss of earnings,don't think i'll bother,just glad to get it back

no, DO bother,, if you don't then the guy just gets away with it,, raising a case against the guy is a deterrent to not buy stolen property. otherwise what's to stop him doing it to someone else.

with you all the way AD but not sure the guy knew.The way i found my trailer was i never reported the serial number so to all it seemed legit? i'm now raising a case against notts police,just a written apology would be nice
