i finaly bit the bullet and swapped my 2nd 90 300tdi for a 03 tranny tipper it was uneconomical to pay someone else to pull a trailer while i had the chipper

 

probelm is ive only got the transit (only started for my self 10 months ago) and the girlfriend isnt to happy with me turning up at her show jumping in (the scrap wagon) lol

 

i would like another defender or td5 disco or even better a landcruiser amazon vx in silver lol but cant afford it

 

but i like the country gentleman look of the old rangies

what are they like for towing and living with in genral and how are they running on gas ?

they are absoulotely brilliant tow motors they'll tow 4 ton up a very steep hill and not nottice however stopping is fun

however they are increadibly unreliable if not looked after and rust badly

how about a pre 98 trooper

tow 3.5 ton reliable and comfier than a land cruiser colarado

yeh been looking at the rangies the good ones seem to pull in as much money as the td5 discos maybe ill save a little longer looks like turning up at royal windsor in the tarmac truck lol

get the 3.1 ltr as the newer 3 ltrs are can have alot of problems

 

and what engine has the patrol got

I have just sold my 3.9 v8 masive tyres and massive lift great truck, lots and lots of power. However as soon as you start to mess with lifting them and huge MT tyres, it realy restricts there towing capability.

Shame coz she was as a beast.
