Had this Kretzschmaria infected Beech down for a reduction, but was at the back of a fairly long list.

Especially as it 'was' standing in the woods away from targets..

 

This is why I said 'was' standing...........

 

The blow today aided the demise a litle earlier than it's wood munching host had in mind..

 

 

A few hours later these Birches toppled in the wind a hundred yards down the path from the Kretzschmaria Beech :001_rolleyes:

 

probably Armillaria.

Another one we dealt with this morning from the last couple of days winds.

 

Birch topped itself, & landed across one of the swimming lanes in our ladies pond.

 

severed it & hauled it out with the Landy winch

looks a bit murky for bathing, wouldn't catch me in it for sure as

 

a) i'm not a lady, and

2, northerners don't bathe!, we frolic :biggrin:
