Its alright, my dads not popping in, im going to go to capel, so i can exchange my helmet then, if thats alright. Which is a better idea anyway, as i can try the husky on properly.

 

what are you changing the helmet for? still a problem with the long hair? seriously, I have a proper head of hair, and the vertex is the best option IMO. good luck with the knots

either my head of hair, or my big head, but i just cant seem to get the bugger to sit on my head properly.

Am I tying my VT different to everyone else?

 

What I do, as you can see in the picture is do 4 wraps and then bring to top tail end back down infront of the bottom tail then behind the climbing line.

 

Doing it this way keeps the wraps nice and tight and stops them spreading out.

 

Is this the normal way cos everyone elses looks different

different to mine,

 

on mine, the 'top' tail crosses over the 'bottom' tail each time which I think is how it outlines in the TCC

 

I did a 4 wrap 3 braid and the wraps seemed to splay a little, but a 4 braid which gave more friction, also kept the whole job tidier. I found a lot of keeping the knot even was down to keeping the legs as close to the same length as possible
