Given the choice, would the best mid range option be a road tow, engined static or tractor mounted splitter?

I have just taken the plunge with a tractor mounted hydraulic, only because you are looking at £500-£800 instead of £1200 - £3500. Still not sure I have made the right decision but I figure I don't need another engine in my life unless I can help it, plus less parts less to service and go wrong I hope.

Horses for courses I guess - I would like to be able to afford a road tow machine but just can't justify the price difference. Did anyone see the new GBT machine at Capel? Thoughts? What would you guys go for if you had a £3k windfall...?

if i already had a tractor, then i'd have bought a PTO machine for sure,, as for road tow, depends on your needs,,

If i had the money i'd be getting something that comes with a beefy little fella to do all the work,, as it is i'm happy that i've bought a riko, there's enough of them on here, going on the gouge in my head where i caught it they're heavy built to last..

bring it on... :001_smile:

chipper arrives tomorrow...
