try your local wildlife trust. I did last spring and got on a two day course for free. Just had to complete a couple of surveys as a curtesy for them providing the course. Although it was'nt aimed directly at arborists. It was very informative. Learned loads about bat species, habitats, conservation issues, law and surveying techniques. The ecologist who ran the course made it really enjoyable. They where long days as you had class based seminars in the day and then out into the "field" at night observing bats.

Give em a call you will learn loads :thumbup1:

Does anyone know of any courses in the west Yorkshire area

Through the AA and Arboriculture and Bats - Bat Conservation Trust they do a few but none really within easy reach

Any links or suggestions welcome

Cheers

Hi all, sorry it has to be this way at the moment but if enough people register an interest with Tiffany at the AA ([email protected]) for running a bat course 'up north' I'm sure we could arrange something.

Thanks all..

Paul
