Sherrill dealers

There are many things that we would or could take advantage of as climbers IMO that are sourced in USA. I think you'll find if you keep your ear to the ground at shows or whatever you may come across odd bits that you wouldnt otherwise find. Again IMO the big names in retail are dull as ditch water in their approach to updating gear. How comes so many arborists are still climbing with both ends of the rope and a prussi, they still teaching these prectices when the scope to be introduced to newer and more interesting and challenging techniques gets ignored. I had this with an earlier thread...I believe USA is the place to be when it comes to arboriculture.

The reason for the retail issues have alot to do with import tax probably. You are welcome to purchase from USA but the bill will be huge....!

actually i'd say the biggest improvements in arborist gear in the past couple of years have come from europe

I ordered in several bits from b-trac and found it was as quick and as cost effective as the "friend" route direct from the states. Also you end up with a invoice to put against your tax ! They don't avoid any taxes it's in the price. As a side note b-trac did'nt go bust it just took martin wright 2 years to make his mind up to finally sell, great way to bolster customer faith !

i've been dealing with the guys at B-trac/Vermeer uk for over 10 years , i've got nothing but good things to say about them, service and sales very good imo

AS for Sherill, I ordered a few bits and bobs through B-trac, the stuff came in under a month..

I dealt with b-trak, great, no problem.

Also dealt with sherrill direct, bought a set of extra long klein spikes (that no one else seemed to be able to supply). They shipped them, i collected them from the courier and payed them the tax. All together, including postage and tax they came out at £180- could hardly buy a standard length set here for that.
