I think you did a thorough job of taping it up, it may well fuse the tissues and bond again, with some dysfunctional wood at its core.

 

if i was you i would be looking more toward my methods in sectioning a tree without having to "make good" afterward than pruning techniques and science, after all you want repeat custom dont you!:001_rolleyes:

I have very very very few casualties Tony.

 

I have even been known to dismantle trees without disturbing flowers underneath. Imust admit though, this time it was just pure laziness on my part.

 

This customer actually tipped me £20 for 3 hours work. I told him he shouldn't but he expressed how profesional I'd been and it made a change to have someone pruning his trees that actually knew what they were doing and did an excellent job :thumbup:
