Wistmans wood is different. Killerton has lots of champions and oddities, Bictons nice, Prescott Pinetum has some giants. Give me a shout if your heading through

 

If devons on the way through then i will defo PM nearer the time, thanks Gibbon.

Yeah you have to pass through Devon to get to us mate, and being a tree bod you would do well to ctch up with Matt, or at least check out the places he has mentioned. Devon is a VERY wooded county, with lots of spectacular trees.

fowey is not far from you , go down to golant youth hostel and have a look down through there woods , it truly is an amazing place , we have just finnished a weeks work up there taking down some big lawsonia's and a few turkey oaks . failing that give me a shout and i will take you round some of the private estates i work on as there are some amazing trees that are not well known about. also bicton college has an amazing monkey puzzle avenue that is well worth a look at on your way down to cornwall

Maybe we should have a cornish recce climb Dave et al whilst Tony is down?

 

sounds good to me how about we organise a recky tree climbing weekend ?? anyone fancy comming down for it ? im sure i can find some interesting trees to climb and plenty of them

isnt it gardens of heligan where there is a headache tree or plant or something.. if you touch it you get a headache? don't fancy it but interesting..

 

Dont remeber im not from the part of the woods was a holiday im sure it would more liekly of been eden?

Up for that. IBetwen us we must have access to some pretty good selection of tree. I have carte blanche to climb at Pencarrow House amongst other places...
