Really like the bowl Dean, how long has it taken you?

Bowl took about 2 hours David, I didn't have the right chisel so it kept grabbing, I got fed up and went and bought the proper one (top of the range of course) which sped the job up no end :thumbup1:

Nice stuff deano. Ian Leach can give you endless advice on finishing oils, but i love Tung oil for food use, and danish oil for everything else. I think there may be a problem with nut allergy sufferers for Tung oil though.

I am not entirely sure....I looked at some yew the other day in the round, and the main stem was showing signs of dacay in the sapwood, and had lots of FBs on the end, but the branchy stuff all looked ok, but TBH i think treatment brings out colour and patina nicely anyway.
