a rip!!!!tony tony tony, this i gota here lol. I can take you to my first ever rip, and probably my last tbh, i can even show you the felt nail that still holds the said rip in place. oh the shame, cutting a bbranch off a spruce with a bow saw from ontop of a trailer:blushing:i was 17. that was a very panicky 10 minutes trying to hide all the evidence and try and find the trailer under the huge branch :sneaky2::biggrin:

 

 

mmmm NO SWB, this was a behemoth poplar that i was pollarding, i took out a large limb from upon high for a skilled(:001_rolleyes:) turn through the gap and drop. mmmmm as it hit the lowest limb (more like a decent poplar in its own right) it first flexed then went BANG removing socket of said limb! this is as is my nature on another scale!

 

It was the last tree in a line, a 12 day (given 14) job that we got loadsa stick on we was all sick of it and i got lax.

can i enter one of mine please? theres no shot of the part of this tree that went 2ft underground (about 6inch across) and didn't want to be pulled out by the landy, but there is some divot damage to feast upon, crashmats? pah.. sawdust and soil:thumbup1:

 

That picture looks like its the first time John has seen the inside of a tree :laugh1:
