Too hot!!! I've never heard so much crap, you sound like a bunch of poofs.

 

Oh and Treequip, I'd rather wear that colander than those things you try and pass off as climbing lids:001_tt2:.

Yep stein helmets are hot but they fit nice and are comfirtable,I also like the adjuster at the back which is easy to use.

 

And yes the visors are a waste of time!

I used to have a petzl, but on loan to someone....

Think they are quality, really well designed and give great all round protection, now using a black diamond half dome with plugs and specs, wouldnt go back. super comfy and very well ventilated, stupidly light also.

I have had many different types of lids over the years - like you i was wondering if this type of lid was any good? I have got one made by kask with the 'top gun' sheild and i can honestly say it is the most comfortable i have ever had - only had it a couple of weeks so i will have to wait until it warms up to see if it get too hot - hasnt done yet mind (cant be working too hard!!)
