Yep like i said I get it, but i do love the old saying "if it aint broke dont fix it" i guess I just like to be worrying about my job at hand rather than having to constantly adjust or get used to or worry about new gear all the time, THAT is the bit I dont get

 

why get a lambo if you win the lottery, the good old fiesta starts & runs......................

 

A rope guide is not only very, very shiny but it makes climbing easyer for you & your body. An investment well worth making IMO

thats a good point, most of these shiny toys are only making our jobs that much easier

Why not fit a small pulley into your regular cambium saver in place of the large ring?

 

You have probably got one somewhere in your kit.

 

It won't cost anything to try, will it?

 

I poo poo'd the idea until I tried it, and I think it makes a lot of difference to the amount of effort needed.
