I used to work for a guy with an RB 44.  It was Horrendous to drive in London especially with a chipper on it.

 

Just because it had a 4 an another 4 in the name didn’t make it that capable off road.  It would get stuck in a football pitch.

 

Mind you the guy had short arms and very deep pocket so it may have been a bit better if the tyres weren’t so worn.

I had the twin rear wheel civvy version of the RB44. With good tyres on it had very capable off road ability. 

 

First picture is just after a twit (not me) operated the 3 way tipper with the pins diagonally opposed, second one is after the chassis was straightened, new ex military single cab fitted and chip box plus tool locker made.

 

Courtesy of Ebay it went all the way to the Falklands to work on a sheep farm.

Our Champ had all the miulitary stuff on it . Winch , shoval a lenght of rope and two jerry cans . I loved it but we could not afford to put petrol in it every other day !
