Anyone had experience with this chipper? Would love something bigger and better but budget won’t stretch. A lot of brash from hedgelaying to do, bigger stuff cut up for firewood, so (though time consuming) 12mm capacity would be sufficient if it’s up to the job.

Thanks in advance for any advice

I would hold out for a good used CS100 or a Jobeau, both will walk all over that Chinese job, and still have a resale value if needed.
There was a mint CS100 on arbtrader a couple of weeks ago for £1700 ish, I would have bought it myself if I was in the Uk at the time.

Does anyone make a small chipper like these that is road towable?

Not that I am aware of, but the CS100 has a dedicated trailer you can buy as an add on. You can leave it on the trailer and chip into a transit, the shute is quite high when loading set up like this though.
