Husq do this thing, I assume something like that but with a big enough ring to have a tool stop and clip onto harness?

They almost made something good there...

I can imagine several cyclists returning to their pedals to find scraps of cut innertube hanging out, near to a freshly cut stump 😆

Kong, and I'm sure others, do a twisted carabiner which would allow the bar to sit nicely parrallel to the harness. Might prevent the chain catching on trousers.. I dont know if it would.

UKRIGGING.NET

Special “helical-shaped” connector with a twisted carbon steel body and circular bar, a must-have when an “offset” load is required. It permits 90° rotation...

Cannot beat an old inner tube - so many uses. Also see 'Wild Sling' for another use. And windfalls.

Good to know, if I find it may be better oriented 90 degree more I will give one a go

Another idea is a biner could be tied in that orientation, no need to buy a twisted. This is 3mm starter cord, 4mm might be better. Barrel knot, get it tight and add a barrel stopper.

Carabiner easily unclipped when not needed. Going to leave this tied and add one to my other ground saws.

I had one of these on my 461 and it worked well. I'm not sure I would 100% trust it in the event of accidentally dropping a saw that size on your strop though.
