Many  won't know what that is Stubby,  that's 24 pints for a quid.:beerchug:

and I've heard it was once 4pence [old money] for pint.

Local spoons in Glasgow £2.10 for a strong 5-6% ale.

My local in the West Highlands where I am mostly, San  Miguel £7 and local ales £8, large white £12.30 and an almost invisibly small 12 year old malt £13.40,who knows what it'll be next tourist season...

What used to be a vibrant busy country hotel and pub is now Fecked by greedy new London owners.

Last night being Halloween, would have previously had a party night with great live music and 200+ customers for the full evening spending a fortune, yesterday only 3 locals including myself... this decline in less than a decade ain't any good.👎

There's more than 2 and I've never had a problem - been in far worse pubs if your from 'down south' - but they have usually been awesome nights as well once the locals realise you're not a tit.

Aye, a quick search makes it 7 Spoons in Glasgow city, there mostly alright but just like anywhere else some are better than others, the one local to me is fine with a very mixed customer base and hardly any trouble.

Counting house is pretty good, I've spent a fair amount of time and money there with no problems, I was even on Dows on Dundas St when England played Scotland and no problem at all.

Spoons do Leffe on tap now so I keep my visits short and sweet.

Nothing to do with being a tit, my ex had a stupidly strong Devon accent , and it was a passing pub thing .

50p beer was proper shit beer though, the dregs from whatever brewery had a few barrels 'best before' last week style.

Did you ever go to Bianco’s in Stockton around 1991/2?

IIRC they had screwed up the beer order and had a lot of surplus.

It was a quid to get in and 10p a pint,  limited to 4 pints per order,  you almost had to swim to get to the bar it was that busy,

I have never seen so many students looking green.
