I wish! The only doctors I see are in A&E, Local practice has changed hands so many times I know their history better than what's on their website.

Which is my point, apart from having an accident, your health should never get to a point where you need to go to A&E, should be getting things checked out well before then. Got to look after your health.

Feckwhit, a serious topic and you are lowering it all to have a personal dig.

Mens health is important, it is often ignored "will just carry on, nothing wrong" attitude until you end up in a hospital bed... which is the point the OP was making.

If you are unable to 'read the room' and understand then do not comment.

I am a bit older than you and you get to a certain age and you realise that wealth is health not money

ah yeah, but without money you can't buy health - health needs paying for with hard currency. Good food and good medical care all cost money. Money is the most important thing.

The Beatles sang 'money can't buy me love', but love can't exist inside a dead body and it's money that keeps the body alive

As a group, men are very poor at popping in to the doctors, they would much prefer you 'waste their time' with a 10 minute check up once or twice a year to catch things early, than a weekly 10 minute visit where they up your pill doses. Same with mental health... and guess which industries are hit hard with that one!

Point is, we are here only once, look after yourselves to make the most of it. Doctors are free to use so why not.

Is mental health that bad in our industry?I know construction sites are bad but I didnt think arboricuture was worse !

If you compare to say construction or farming, not so bad, but if you were to compare to the population as a whole it is on the worse side.

However in all men tend to try to continue on regardless, until they snap, again going back to the OPs point, never let yourself get to that point, physically or mentally.

One thing on the mental health side, it is OK to ask for help.

Serious question 🤷‍♂️try answering for a change.
I know you tend to be very sensitive about how you make a living but having spent my entire life post armed forces being  self employed I stand by my comment.

Relevant answer is above your post. Try reading.

I read it, like I say the stresses of for example yourself doing the daily train commute to a public sector office job with a pension, holiday pay, sick pay and all the rights it gives pale into insignificance compared to a self employed worker or SBO having to find work, balance the books, pay staff and deal with ever changing circumstances and government/hmrc changes, the recent NI Hike and change of BIK rules on crew cabs being just two examples.
Unless I’m mistaken and you are actually do work in the “ industry” you allude too.
You see Steven if I take time off because I’m “ stressed” I don’t get paid, funnily enough the result is I don’t get “ stressed” often.
Strange that 🤔🤷‍♂️
