Hi Guys looking for a bit of advice the infeed solenoid has gone tits up its got a intermitternt fault I have got a replacement but im struggling to get the old one off !!

Its a atos valve, the chipper is 2004. looking at the unit it looks like you just remove the plastic nut on the valve and the solenoid should pull off, well thats how it looks the bloody thing is solid, and I can still use it at the min and I have work lined up so im reluctant to try and force it off in case I bugger the valve. Im I missing something or is it just a case of it pulls off ? any advice please

Undo the plastic nut and it should either slide upwards it's downward depending which you're trying to remove.

You may need to undo the plug connectors if it's a bit tight, but bit of wd40 and rotate it gently if it's a bit seized with crud.

Also depends on what the fault is, the controller are known to be a bit sh1t sometimes and there is a bypass built into the wiring loom.

Just replace whole unit, my 150 played out about 4 years ago didn't get from timberwolf as said I needed to change whole setup with hydraulic manifold . Ring Parker hydraulics in Norfolk, supplied unit all you need is shorter bolts to fit.
