Was there a gun licence in the 1960's, I've always known them as firearms certificate or shotgun certificate?

It was a cert . Anyone who was drunk or insane was prohibited .

I realise it says certification at the bottom I'd just never known it was called a gun licence.

It was a first for me too. I'd always thought they were called certs.

From what I've read it's Charlie Kray's stepson who is selling them off after his mother died, might take a mooch over to the auction, not that I'll buy anything.
