There's been discussion here before regarding the bright green Frisia variety. Seems there's a ?virus sweeping the country that - and I'm calling on memory here - leads to blockage of vascular tissue. Frisia apparently has narrow vascular rays.

 

Hopefully someone who actually knows what they're talking about can put that in English for you.

Methinks I may have to do a bit of studying on tree disease and decay.

if you get any facts or answers be sure to post them.i took down half a dozen dead acacias last autumn and didn't know what killed them

Certainly will do. Have posted pics to Tree Officer as they were in a conservation area and he was interested. Always best to stay on the right side of these guys
