Question

Posted

Hello,

So I have a massive oak tree in my back yard.

I removed some of the ivy that was growing up it and I was hoping I didn’t do any damage but some bark may have come off?

What is the general consensus on this tree? It is obviously super old. I just would worry it can fall over anytime and hit my house… is that realistic?

Thank you!IMG_7376.thumb.jpeg.ea5e4705957049cc5fdb82141c279b7c.jpegIMG_7373.thumb.jpeg.d328811da65a7df5a46012d2bbce0ac4.jpegIMG_7386.thumb.jpeg.d8bcad0fcadcb58670ed22cb97d38200.jpeg

This could be part of a leg-pull.

The OP has posted this topic twice on another site; both posts on 14th June 2025.

He states, in one post, that the tree "is absolutely massive. Biggest tree I have ever seen. Apparently it is over 100 years old"

He's obviously not seen many trees.

It's Donald Trump, he comes on here incognito to find out what is apparently the best way to do everything.

Me either.

If they op is genuine they I suggest that you get a tree survey carried out.

If it isn't a genuine question then at least put some bleeding effort in and try to sublimely sell us something!

the same question gets asked not just here but both sides of the pond, answers are pretty much similar and no further comments from the op, same question appears again in a few days time, maybe it's like one of those eu vote things whereby if you don't get the answer you wanted, just keep asking until you do.:confused1:
