Can someone help to explain the use of a Combi Fuel Can 5 Litre?

that's just a variation on the usual 2t oil dispenser that measures the oil /fuel ratio;50'1,40'1 etc.

that isn't what the op has described, that apparently has fuel in one side and 2t oil in the other side and you shake and mix.

I had to fight back laughter as I typed.:laugh1:

I just get a can of alkylate fuel ( not the pre mixed but the blue can ) and put a measure of Red Line Racing 2t oil in the combi then add the Alkylate fuel and shake a bit . The 2t bottle I have had for 40 odd years . Just decant some new Red Line as and when .

I think most of us have a tried and tested reliable method of mixing our fuel at the required ratio, in smaller or larger quantities, but I'm unsure why would anyone not simply add the fuel and 2t oil into the same container.

I'm beginning to think the op maybe just didn't describe his procedure very well, and we all got misinformed.?

over to you, OP, show us your mixing container.

Think the OP means these...

As for the husky combi cans, unless they've improved the auto spout design I'd advise getting a Stihl version, you will likely need to in the end anyway if you get husky.

You'll have a shock when you need to buy the next bottle of red line - £109 for a gallon or 3.4 litres.  About 5x as expensive as other stuff.  or just buy 50:1 alkalyte and adjust the ratio

so just another variation of any other 1litre mixing container, the version with the single top is less complicated to manufacture I would think, but sealey usually just buy generic ting-tong shite and stick their label on it.

Agreed. I'd think just use a measure bottle to dispense oil into a combi can to mix it.

That is what I have for mixing my fuel and 2 stroke in the correct quantity.

But the Husky Petrol side is for Petrol, and the Oil side is for Chainsaw Oil.

What I am trying to explain is how do I mix the Petrol and 2 Stroke with the Husky?

I don't think you can. So it seems I would have to mix the fuel with the 2 stroke in a separate container and then add it to the Husky.

I think whatever gizmo you have you need to be able to check the maths.  So to mix 5 litres at 40:1, you take out your phone and type in 5000 / 40 = 125 ml of oil.  Now I hope I've got that right

Muddy posted a pic earlier of a measured bottle for dispensing oil. You squeeze the required amount into the chamber then pour into the can with fuel, give the can a shake and it's mixed.

Does that answer your question?
