Can anyone recommend a good trailer hitch lock?

Bulldog box style ones are really good mate, but you have to be careful to get the right one to work with your hitch/towbar configuration.

 

Bear in mind they are ALL cuttable with the right gear.

 

Which the thieves have, unfortunately.

I would agree those Bulldog hitch locks are well designed, used one for years, quick and easy to fit as well as ‘Solid Secure’ approved.

As Mark says, unfortunately,  the thieves will take it if they want it and no security is infallible!  I had to leave a trailer and an Evo165DT in town and had a wheel clamp, hitch lock, hitch cover and heavy chain  with big padlock after they stole the last one! Crime does pay, and pays more than we earn legitimately too....

The issue is if someone wants it they can chain it up to a tow hitch even with a hitch lock.

I quite like these but as with many things if they really want it they will get it off.

I once bought four very expensive wheel locks with no keys, the first one took me hours to unlock but then I could have them open in under 5 minutes and only damage the lock barrel

Just throwing this in there..... what are you carrying in the trailer? I often use hitchlock, cover and chain but the goods in the trailer are not secured, the trailer can be tipped and the load rolled out or just craned off!
