Finding investors

This is nothing to do with but it sounds like it could be a plan.

 

Fella I know has come up with an idea, he's invested good money in having a prototype produced,  to get the equipment to mass produce it is eye-watering. He's had another company doing market research and the results are promising. How does he get the interest of potential investors?

Depends what he's trying to make or produce, as to which investor would want to fund it.... Each investor has a different thing they'd want to fund and sponsor, 9 times out of ten for their pittance of investment they'd want their pound of flesh and some.... Go to the bank.... If it's that far fetched and expensive,  guarantee it's non viable to start with

Dragons Den... they don't generally invest on an idea, generally you need to have product produced and sales, many investors are the same. Bank want to be sure they get their cash back. Investors take a risk and so want greater rewards, 

 

 

Can he make small volume sales for now to build up evidence of sales, the product works, customer feed back and a bit of a cash reserve which might help him out with investors or the bank. Obviously we don't know what he is doing, mass producing tooling could be a lot but maybe smaller scale could be done? Even part time to get some sales behind him?
