MS261C stop buffer

Hi

 

Anyone with an MS261 CM ?

Could you end me/post a picture of the stop (anti vibration) buffer on the clutch cover side ??

 

Here's a pic of one I bought (used) recently, it looks 'not right' to me ...  ?

That's not the only part of the AV system but the part you pictured usually sits central in the hole and moves when you're really leaning into a cut.

 

I've had to replace the one on the handle in the past

A bit new to me but older stihls would have a T27 screw into the AV and a white expanding plug covering it.

Not on the 261, you get those on the 260.

The stopper in the pic looks OK to me
