I need to id these roots for subsidence.

Photos 1, 2 & 3 appear the same species, whilst 4 is different.  Whether from age of species I'm unsure?

The trees in question are Quercus rubra and Tilia x europaea

Where could I get them DNA tested, please?.

I have not looked at pictures, am busy for once; I do not know what happened to the Arboricultural Advisory & Information Service at Alice Holt but the Forestry research there have the lab facilities.

These people should be able to point you in the right direction:

Do you require individual DNA profiles or a general species ID?

A starch test is also prudent when dealing with subsidence cases.

Theres two trees a Tilia and and a Quercus rubra, the larger diameter roots are on the side of the  quercus on the side of the damage, though the tilia is 6 m closer to the tree.

Have you a link for performing a starch test please?
