That's one reason I don't use insurance recovery, and the problem my parents had once with a recovery company sent by insurance company how could not load land rover discovery on to lorry as didn't have right size shackle to go through eye, I soon sorted that when I get to them and chucked the recovery driver the right size. 

My work is local and know someone with tractor and low loader and he would probably get to me quicker then them. Or just pull tool kit and fix of possible.

Odd. Had my Navara + trailer recovered a few months ago.  Recovery arranged through insurance (Hastings Direct)
