Ah! I understand. I don't think I have enough slings, but they'd do the job right enough 😊

 

It's a little 2T winch, same as my dead capstan.

What is the duty cycle on the electric winch? Petrol capstan winch can be run all day but small electric ones overheat pretty quick.

 

Just thinking you might end up with two broken winches to mend, better to mend one capstan winch first ...

2 ton, but as it happens, also 2 stroke. I'm looking to get it fixed, but it cost me about 9 X 2 ton electric winches new, so if the gearbox is screwed, burning out a few electric winches might be cheaper!
