Brushcutter Blade Spindle Adaptor

I've just acquired myself an Oleo Mac brushcutter. (I'd never heard of them either)

It's actually an okay machine.

Problem is, the spindle is a 1inch / 25.4mm like a mid-range Stihl for example.

I want to put a Stihl mulching blade on it. But, high-end Stihl blades are for 20mm spindles.

Is there some sort of combination of adaptor rings so as I can put a 20mm blade on a 25.4 spindle?

The more I try to get my brain around this, the more it hurts.

It's like a reserve reduction? 🤔

Oregon used to to make blades one for one size spindle and then another blade with a bigger hole, for Stihl brushcutters.

They then went to one size but supplied an adapter ring and thus made it simpler.

The only problem is that soon as you hit anying sizeable the adapter missing forms and then you have a vibrating mess because the blade is no longer central. I tried a couple and gave up. Prior to the change I had used the blades for a number of years. Now i use genuine Stihl ones.

You adapt down in size, not adapt upward.

Might be easier posting a picture of the head without any adapters, as it might end up hanging down a long way from the gearbox!.

Might be easier buying one of those Oregon metal strimmer heads and using 3.9mm line, cuts through just about anything.
