ISC UltraLink - anyone use them?

Picked one up today, yet to use it and the recall stuff does make me nervous but it does seem like a good bit of kit. I'll only be using it for base anchors so in theory it shouldn't get moved around or knocked by anything...

Anyone out there using one?

I did buy one for use as a cinching pole anchor but not using it, its not in my climbing kit bag at the moment.

I have no worries about the safety of it, they had a few recalls already.

Shortly after buying I saw this video. It works very well, the rings stay permenetly on my ropes, nothing to be dropped like a ultra or quicky.

Perhaps the same will work for a base anchor? I dont use them.

No.

Why complicate things?

I use one for canopy anchors. Rings  are good but find with ultra links you can move or progress your anchor point on easier with you being able to attach it anywhere, without having to feed the end of the rope through the ring. I also use a mallion  with half a spanner attached to cinch up or unscrew it.
If you’re after total bomb proof though, go ring.
I’m very happy to use ultra links.
