Today’s job, couple of nice Ash trees located on a wildlife corridor on the edge of a housing development in Worcester. Various defects inc. hollows, cavities, vertical splits (well done Tom for spotting that one!)….the list goes on. Trees were very close to a well-used public footpath, hopefully their new image will be well received by the local residents!

 

Climbers were Tom and Matt, I was general groundie, brash-dragger, chipper operator, log-carrier, poop a scooper, and photographer.

They’re really enjoying this type of work; they’ve come straight from the private sector where I guess money money money is one of the main factors. Here in L/A land the work is a little more varied and its nice to take time on interesting little jobs like this.

 

We’ve got a monster Oak coming up with a similar spec. I might do it in two stages and bring the MEWP in to aid positioning for the final cuts.

360/3d all round view to acheive the aesthetics (from publics viewpoints) is really only acheivable from platform.
