As topic says guys,

 

Some bastard pinched my lads bike out of my porch saturday night the mrs left the door open as daughter was due home . I was watching tv at 5.15am and my outside light came on i looked out and some lad was trying the front door handle to see if it was open again he soon run off when i opened the inside door to chase the fooker.

 

These doorbell doorbell cameras are popular anyone use them. They are app based and you can see everything via an app on the phone i am aware of that. What sort of storage and picture quality are they also can you add external/internal cameras to the same system.

I use the Ring system and rate it👍 all battery as well so no faffing with wires etc.

I have the blink system, usually on offer at various times through amazon.  They do have a subscription after the trial runs out, but you can stick a usb into the sync module and no need to pay subscription.

 

Video is good although not as good as say a hikvision system, but there is a massive difference in cost.

 

You can get a pack of the doorbell, and 3 external cameras, sync module, angle plate for doorbell, and cover for doorbell for £131 when on offer (all battery powered) and can add the indoor cameras which are mains/usb powered (£60 a pair)  Again, this is what I paid last year on one of the sales days.

 

They are relatively easy to set up, and set various detection zones, set alarm schedule times etc.

We use Eufy.  No subscription and easy setup and to use.

 

We have the older 2K system and it's been pretty faultless over the past 3/4 years.

 

Cameras, indoor movement sensors and window/door monitors - all good.  Phone app is easy to use and allows a good deal of clever customisation.

 

The base station comes with [I think] 32GB of storage [enough for tons of clips] and has good wireless range.

I use tapo, quite cheap.  Range of different cameras as well as smart plugs (can turn lamp etc off from anywhere with same app)

No subscription if you put card in rather than use their cloud storage.

Start about £20 for indoor camera £40 for outdoor camera, bit more for pan/tilt and battery cameras.

Decide what you want and find a system that does it, if you're gonna add more caneras etc down the line don't want to be using multiple systems.

Surprisingly easy for a tech idiot like me to set up.
