Ways to protect 'target' greenhouse

Hi, I've been asleep for a few years now but got kissed by a frog last night so now I'm a prince.

While I was dozing I was contemplating ways to protect a greenhouse from falling tree bits.

Obviously all big stuff is roped, smaller bits hand held and chucked, but the odd twig invariably breaks off and plummets in slow motion (thick end first) through the glass below - boo hoo, don't look good.

In the past ive used 6mm ply with a batten along the long edge to hang the board down from the apex. I've used insulation sheets (light to handle but not so strong and can flap in the wind.

I was wondering if any of you folk out there have any other economical and practical solutions.

I don't want to buy a load of scaffolding or the Stihl fold out target cover for just £650 + VAT or an Arb trolley that converts into a a giant gazebo. Any suggestions welcomed, I'm getting very old and my brain is shrinking so I need all the lep I can get.

Thanks

Shane

Boards tied loosely edge to edge with the string over the apex of the greenhouse.  Perhaps some scrunched up dumpy bags under them to provide a degree of cushioning
