Got one limb off a tree of heaven last week. Not much firewood but some. Anyone have any experience of it?

I've left it to one side of the log pile for now until I know if its any good.

It will burn Rupe, just not real high calorific value. More like a softwood, quick and hot burning.

It wont keep long before it starts rotting either, so once its dry, burn it:blushing:

I can vouch for the timber being surprisingly feeble. My anchor point snapped when I was up one in '98 and I got a whole year off work after I hit the ground.

Watched lots of telly.

Yeah its is crappy to climb on, but the limbs are heavy, so you'd think it would be ok. I'll put some green onto a hot fire and see what happens.

I had a good fire going last night, mostly ash. Put one log of Tree of heaven on last thing, in the mornign the log is untouched and left alone in the grate!!

Ok, it was unseasoned but it should have made some effort! Even green oak would burn on a hot enough fire.

Put some Tree of Heaven logs around the stove last night that were cut just before Christmas and when I came back into the house today I checked the soles of all the shoes, backs of chairs ( suspecting cats had had an accident ) and then realised that it was the drying logs :blushing:
