Tp 760 woodchipper

Just wondering does anyone know the correct blade to anvil distance on a tp 760 woodchipper.

Do you mean between the blade and the inlet anvil's?.

 

If they're anything like the smaller models as close as possible to not touch & enough to allow a little bit of flex when working on something tough.

 

At a guess 1mm, on my 150 it's fag paper close and done more on feel and sound, as it's that spacing that gives you the cut without bypassing the knife.

With a rotor the size in the 760, I'd allow a lot more for rotor flex!

The manual for my 1980s one shows 0.5-1mm. I used a hacksaw blade thickness but more slop at the outer edge.

Have it set at 2mm currently,  just don't know the recommended setting, thanks for the reply.

Thanks for the reply, don't have a manual for it so I was unsure on the settings.

I'll see if I can take some photos of the manual if you want? I worry that more modern versions are different.
