Hi all

What are your opinions on iveco daily 50c15 as a general day to day arb truck pulling a 6inch chipper and a full load of chip .

Reliability,  parts hardiness ect .

Any help is appreciated as always.

I have run a 146hp 3.5 ton Daily from new since 2015. It happily pulls a 1.2 ton road tow chipper or a 1.3 ton tracked chipper on a half ton trailer, with a box full of chip. Plenty of power, only weak spot is first gear is a bit too high for hill starts with a big load, but I always manage to pull away somehow. Excellent turning circle. Been reliable, and the channel section chassis is must less prone to rusting than a thin walled box section one. I would replace with the same again, or more likely the Daily option over 3.5t.

The older 50c130 6 speed, the first gear was more a crawler gear or for when towing heavy. Even towing 3500kg it only needed 1st on a hill. Downside terrible on a damp surface unless you put a tonne over back axle.
