It just depends what you prefer. I don’t think you’re missing out.

I think the newer saws get some bad feedback sometimes for having electronic carbs when actually they’re a great feature. The majority of issues are still down to basic things on the saw rather than the carbs. It’s the dealers that are at fault when they just want to throw a carb at it and don’t actually check the saw over properly. I’ve seen it too many times. 
 

Mtronic and Autotune have come a long way. I like how they will adapt to port work. It’s pretty impressive. 
 

There’s something to be said about old school saws that have more grunt and a different power. 
 

It’s all preference.
