Quality/durability of different makes of wood burning stoves.

Great, thank you for the advice.  I acquired the stove cheaply, but don't know it's history. It looks in good order otherwise. From reading through the thread here,  I note that morso castings can fail, so possible that another failure or lack of maintenance exposed the Stove top to excessive heat. I will strip it down with a view to replacing ropes and other consumabable parts. Will add a stove top to the list. Grateful for your replies, thank you. Aula
