Carb help

I have an old fs90 strimmer that had that the primer bulb wasn’t working. Narrowed it down the the piston pump o ring inside the carb but couldn’t seem to source one anywhere, even the complete kit and none of my o rings were small enough.

Ordered a Chinese carb from l&s and it looks good apart from the high and low adjustment screws have no slots. Anyone have a good work around or is it just cut straight along with dremel? Or will long nose pliers be up to the job of adjustment?

i would not have gone down the Chinese carb but I’m no longer self employed and the strimmer only cuts my own lawn edges so not worth throwing loads of money at.

Thanks in advance 👍

As Pleasant said but if you can get them out, slotting them with a Dremel fitted with a diamond cut off disk will do the job.

You can sometimes get them out using the plastic end of crimp connectors or a bit of fuel line pushed over the adjuster.

Unusual for a replacement carb to have screws like this.

Just get the proper adjustment tool. They only cost a few quid- just over £4 to be exact.

I’ve got one of those in my box 🙈 I thought they were just rounded off so they couldn’t be adjusted. I’ll be putting it on tomorrow. Thanks for that 👍
