Husqvarna 550xpg Flywheel question

Well, I have done this many times and not had any issues, (only just recently on a customers mk2 550) but you are right, if you don't get it right it can be problematic

The bigger question is why are the shearing the key? as I see the only way it happens is if the flywheel has been removed and not sufficiently tightened when re fitted, or it has been miss aligned on the crankshaft and the nut tightened down.

I had to repair a Stihl 361 that was dropped, running, into water and that sheared the flywheel key. I tried to align the flywheel but was unsuccessful. @GardenKit had one surplus at below Stihl price which fixed it.
