Arb terminology in French

Got a pal looking to get some work done on trees out in France.  He speaks fluent 'normal' French but I wondered if anyone has a link to something akin to what the Arb Association provide over here to explain the various terms we use?  I realise he might end up with a hat rack regardless but worth a try. He's down in the Ardeche.

I'll look at my own devis (quotes) and try compiling a list of terms to do with pruning and felling. 

@5thelement might chip in.

Easier if you tell us what he wants and we can tell him the terms.

My French is still crap Stuart, so I tend to work for English speakers, Dutch, Belgians and Brits.

I simply write out the work spec in simple English, reduction, prune, removal, fell, stump treatment etc then google translate it into French for the quote.

I am in touch with a few quality French Arb guys down South if the OP requires some recommendations.

Cheers. He's going to look at a potential new house which has a few mature trees, so not quite at that stage yet. He's in the northern Ardèche.

any other terms just speak loudly and slowly till they admit they can all speak perfect f*cking english anyway

 

failing that just use pictures/photos and pencil diagrams
