MS260 or MS280i Which to buy?

Most dealers keep a large selection of spares on the shelf for the 260, not as many for the 280.

If you damage your saw and its off the run for a week its going to cost you, with a 260 you should be able to pick the spares up straight away

We must sell about 20 X 260 to every 1 x 280

My man in the know says that Stihl seem to have been doing things to the ignition coil and the saws cut out when hyper tuned to scream mode.

Its to stop the over revving. Probably to do with EU regulations on exhaust emissions .

makita with an 18" on it. the 260 will be really slow with an 18" bar. the 341 would struggle. i have a 341 with a 15 and thats a great saw.

id avoid them both, they are both underpowered. id go for a 361 if you want to run an 18" bar. it might weigh more but it has bags more power.
