Cheap air compressors and pressure washers

Karcher are shite.

 

They are the black and decker of the pressure washer world.

 

Unless you go for a 'proper karcher which is made for pro use and you are into the high 100's and thousands. Been selling shoddy stuff in the sheds for years off the back of their name in the pro sector

I know some folks love them for it, but I wouldn't use a pressure washer for washing a vehicle.

 

A garden hose with a decent pressure is fine.

-Hose it down

-Long reach wash brush dunked in a bucket with standard car shampoo and warm water

-Rinse when you're done

I have had a cheap SGS 24litre compressor and an argos Nilfisk pressure washer for about 8 years now. Both are used quite regularly and never let me down.

Takes more than a hose to get the mud off of my van unfortunately.
